2D LDH-MoS2 clay nanosheets: synthesis, catalase-mimic capacity, and imaging-guided tumor photo-therapy

Abstract Owing to the hypoxia status of tumor, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production during photodynamic therapy (PDT) tumor is less efficient. Herein, a facile method which involves synthesis Mg–Mn–Al layered double hydroxides (LDH) clay with MoS 2 doping in surface and anionic layer space LDH was presented, integrate photo-thermal effect imaging catalytic functions LDH. The designed LDH-MoS (LMM) composite further surface-coated bovine serum albumin (BSA) maintain colloidal stability LMM physiological environment. A photosensitizer, chlorin e6 (Ce6), absorbed at LMM@BSA. In formulation, magnetic resonance enhanced thanks reduced acid microenvironment tumor. Notably, ROS PDT efficiency Ce6 were significantly improved, because LMM@BSA could catalyze decomposing overexpressed H O tumors produce oxygen. biocompatible that played synergism promising candidate for effective treatment cancer.
